Playing for Success is an after-school program developed for children in the age of 9 to 14 year. Due to social-emotional grounds things at school sometimes go less smooth as expected and children are not getting the most out of it. Playing for Success helps these children regain their motivation and gives them more self-confidence. The program invites children to a challenging and inspiring location outside their school environment. For a period of 11 weeks, under supervision of a professional teacher, they gain as much positive learning experience as possible and intensively work on their personal goals which they drew up together with a mentor. This all happens in and around the King Willem II stadium. The football players function as role models and contribute to an environment that challenges the children. Together they work on exciting assignments in surroundings with a WOW-effect. This ensures they feel special again and start to believe in themselves.
